Only groups, organizations, and units who have submitted a signed entry form will be allowed to enter the parade. Entry form due date is Saturday, November 12, 2016 (one week prior to parade). The final lineup will be posted on the website Wednesday night (November 16, 2016) and published in the Thomasville Times on Saturday, November 19, 2016 (day of parade).
Parade will be televised live on city government cable channel 13 and/or 74.1.
The parade will start at 3:00 PM, Saturday,
November 19, 2016 (rain or shine).
Note: We are going to allow Bands, Cheerleaders and Dance groups to stop and perform at stage.
Lineup will begin at 12:00
Professional floats will
lineup in the parking lot across from TFI Plant C (see map). At the end of
parade all professional floats should turn right on
Marching units will
assemble at TFI Plant C parking lot (same as professional floats) Kenny Avenue.
Accompanying motorized entries must assume lineup position on
Units that perform must keep moving forward in the parade procession while routines are being performed. You may stop and perform at the stage only if requested on entry form. We will create a gap behind you to ensure parade does not stop. Bands and large dance groups will be allotted 30 seconds. All others 15 seconds. Note: Units that stop and perform will be put in the 2nd half of parade.

All horse entries will park
and unload at the TFI Plant C dirt lot on Julian (see map). If the lot is full
go to the grass field at the end of lineup. At the end of Parade stop in the
parking lot beside Whistle Stop Restaurant and wait for Police escort back
through town. Accompanying motorized entries must assume
lineup position on
All units should be identified (signs) and should be decorated with a Christmas theme.
Only one Santa Claus will be allowed in the parade. This Santa will be riding the Thomasville Chamber of Commerce Float at the end of the parade.
In consideration of the acceptance of your entry in the Thomasville Christmas Parade, you, including your employees and family members, release and discharge the Fair Grove Lions and Thomasville Tourism from any liability in any activity from participation in the 2014 Thomasville Christmas Parade. You assume all responsibility for damages and or injury to your entry, other entries, spectators or private property resulting from your entry.
